Baicheng City is the main producing area of ​​mung bean in Jilin Province and even China. It has a long history of planting. Rich in light and heat resources, frost-free period of 125-140 days, sunshine hours of 2960 hours, effective accumulated temperature of ≥10°C as high as 2900-3100°C, temperature difference of 14-15°C between August and September, conducive to nutrient accumulation of crops , improve the quality of mung bean. In particular, the dry and dry climate in autumn is more conducive to the drying and coloring of mung beans and the quality of mung beans. The mung bean produced in Baicheng City has large grains, full particles, bright and vivid color, no variegated color, no pollution, and high protein content. It has a high reputation in China and international markets. The city under the jurisdiction of Taonan City has earned the reputation of “Hometown of Chinese Mung Beans” for producing high-quality, high-yielding mung beans.

According to the “Regulations on the Protection of Geographical Indication Products,” the AQSIQ has organized a review of the application for the protection of Baicheng mung bean geographical indication products. Quality and technical requirements

(a) Variety.

(b) site conditions.

(c) Cultivation and management.
