Introduction to the advantages and disadvantages of spray dryer

The spray dryer is a type of continuous atmospheric dryer. The liquid material is sprayed in a mist by special equipment to be dried in contact with hot air. It is used to dry some heat-sensitive liquids, suspensions and viscous liquids such as milk, eggs, tannins and medicines. Also used for drying dyes, intermediates, soap powders and inorganic salts.

advantage:

1. Drying is rapid (generally no more than 30 seconds). Although the temperature of the drying medium is quite high, the material does not overheat;

2. The dry material is in a powder state and can be directly packaged into a finished product;

Disadvantages:

1. The volume drying strength is small, and the required size of the drying chamber is large;

2. The liquid material is sprayed into a mist, which consumes a large amount of power.
