Mobile medical industry reshuffles 90% of companies will be out

"The current health forum is full of people." Li Zhenfu, CEO of Telford Capital, said at the China Green Company Annual Meeting hosted by the Chinese Enterprise Club on April 20. Ten years ago, when he first came to the president of Novartis China, he participated in many medical forums. At that time, the organizers often worried about the audience, and they also asked students to join.

In this healthy tide, mobile medical care is the hottest investment area.

In 2014, Internet giants such as BAT will compete for the first time, and PE/VC is also stepping up the layout of “potential stocks”. A group of mobile medical manufacturers such as Chunyu Pocket Doctor, Rehabilitation Circle, Bo Medical Help, and “Look at Prescription” have successively obtained investments. Li Zhenfu is also looking for investment opportunities in the growth industry of the healthcare industry.

Data is the foundation of mobile healthcare. If everyone's electronic medical records, health records, and data collected by various wearable devices can be integrated, clinical decision support can be provided to eliminate medical errors and improve patient experience; and public health and health data can help scientifically Formulate a public health policy, manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, and take preventive medical measures to reduce the social cost of the disease. Health and medical data are of great value.

However, it is understood that at present, mobile medical companies can only get the user's health data, and can not touch the medical data of 25,000 hospitals scattered throughout the country. Therefore, many mobile medical companies can only be rotated around the walls of hospitals, and they will be “matched” in appointments and registrations.

Data barriers also exist between hospitals, and even health authorities have difficulty getting medical data from hospitals. The data of most hospitals are not connected, forming a data island, unable to form gridded data, so that medical big data is still a mirror in China.

Lu Chaoxia, senior vice president of Neusoft Group, told reporters that the sharing of medical data is the most difficult problem. The fundamental obstacle is that hospitals do not have the motivation to share data.

"I will give you, you make money, what good is it?" Feng Xue, president of Tianjin Telemedicine Association, analyzed the mentality of the hospital. In fact, the patient's data does not belong to the hospital, and ownership should belong to the patient.

The United States has a bill that clarifies the ownership of medical data, and there is no definition in the country. Lu Zhaoxia believes that to open up public medical data, it must be promoted by the government, otherwise the mobile medical industry will be difficult to develop. At present, the basic medical insurance for urban residents is managed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and the Health Planning Commission is responsible for the new rural cooperative medical insurance. As a payer of the "money bag", it can play a role in promoting hospital open data.

In Feng Xue's view, medical data will be open in the future, and it may be placed in a unified government data center. This does not mean that mobile medical companies have no chance. Because many data mining work governments can't do it, they have to find a market-oriented company to cooperate. He is working with the Tianjin government, and the data is still in the hands of the government. The company has also completed some applications by providing data analysis services.

The current mainstream view of the mobile healthcare industry is that 80%-90% of industry companies in the future will be out. But the exploration and trial and error of these pioneers is meaningful, and any industry must go through such a process when it is just getting started.
