Australia's treatment of asthma drugs has made a major breakthrough

Data Sheet: Pills
According to reports, this study has been published in the British "Lancet Medical Journal". HMRI researchers used azithromycin for panbronchiolitis for a one-year treatment of 200 adults with asthma and uncontrollable conventional therapy.
They took this drug 3 times a week for nearly a year. It was found that 40% of patients with moderate or severe asthma were relieved. Research author Peter Gibson said, “Many people are surprised by the benefits of this drug. A woman told me that she has never felt so good, and she has had asthma for many, many years.”
It is understood that azithromycin is an antibiotic drug that cured the pancreatitis of the lung disease in the 1980s. Gibson said, "This is a rare disease, and many people die."
HMRI researchers have found that azithromycin can also reduce lung swelling in asthmatic patients. Gibson said, "The main problem with asthma is the narrowing of the airways, which in turn causes muscle spasms and inflammation. Azithromycin seems to be able to treat lung swelling and mucus problems."
Asthmatic patients taking azithromycin develop resistance. Currently, HMRI researchers are studying this issue. Gibson said, "We must choose patients who are taking azithromycin and monitor the potential side effects of this treatment."
