After cashmere goats are bred, the main source of feed is corn stalks. Practice has shown that the feeding of hay throughout the housing period can easily lead to lack of nutrients in sheep, affecting growth and development. In the fall of 2002, we conducted a trial of feeding sheep with silage corn and achieved good results. The report is as follows. September 12 harvested 2000 square meters (about 3 acres of land) high-oil corn, a total of 10,000 kg of corn stalks for silage. Using earth method storage, dig 4m 2m 1.5m cellar, cover the bottom with a plastic cloth, layer the corn husk (3 - 5 cm long) into the cellar, step on the solid, sealed, and on the cellar Sealed with plastic cloth and pressed with soil. In late December, open cellar feeding. Feeding tests were performed using a grouping comparison method. 160 bred rams were randomly divided into two groups, 80 in each group. Group A ate corn silage for 75 days. Group B only eats hay. Other feeding conditions are the same. As a result, the average individual weight of group A was 30.5 kg, that of group B was 25.7 kg, and group A was 4.8 kg higher than that of group B. Experiments showed that silage corn stalks are rich in nutrients and good in palatability. In winter, they can be fed with cashmere and silage corn stalks to feed cashmere goats. This is simple, easy, risk-free, and the sheep does not fall out.
